"DEATH OF A DREAM: FARMHOUSES IN THE HEARTLAND"

Death of a Dream is a one-hour documentary about Minnesota's rural past. This Emmy award-winning piece has been critically acclaimed for stunning, evocative videography. Beautiful, lyrical images support and poetically illustrate the stories of the vanishing farmhouse as told by historians, farm experts, and people who lived "the dream" of life on the farm.

MIDWEST JOURNALISM MEGA-CONFERENCE

Details and a registration form for Midwest Journalism Mega-conference can be found on the Minnesota Society of Professional Journalists Web page www.mnspj.org.

The conference features programs for student and professional print, radio, television and online journalists. S. Paul Pioneer Press Executive Editor Walker Lundy, Jason Lewis and Dateline NBC's John Larson are among the featured speakers.

The conference is April 20-21 at the Double Tree Grand in Bloomington, Minn. It features seminars organized by SPJ, Northwest Broadcast News Association, National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, Associated Press, Radio Television News Directors Association, National Press Photographers Association and the National Conference of Editorial Writers.
